Getting Started
How does our service work?

We make it easy for you to compare Listings from hotels, restaurants, fitness, events, shops tours and vehicles from different property owners and other Service Providers. When you make a Booking on our Platform, you enter into a contract with the Service Provider (unless otherwise stated).

The information on our Platform is based on what Service Providers tell us. We do our best to keep things up to date at all times, but realistically it can take a few hours to update e.g. text descriptions and lists of the facilities that Listings provide.

Who do we work with?
Only Service Providers that have a contractual relationship with us will be displayed on our Platform. They may offer Travel Experiences outside our Platform as well.We don’t own any Listings ourselves - each Service Provider is a separate company that has agreed to work with us in a certain way.Our Platform tells you how many types of Listing you can book through us worldwide - and our search results page tells you how many of them might be right for you, based on what you’ve told us.
How do we make money?
Once you book a listing on our platform, we are entitled to a 10% service fee for using our platform.If the first Accommodation in your search results has a badge that says ‘Ad’, this means that the Service Provider has paid for it to appear there, as part of our ‘Plush Explorer Sponsored Ads’ programme.We also charge a membership subscription fee for all service providers in our platform.
Pricing Plans
Host type
We ask Service Providers, wherever they are subscribing, to choose either the ‘Basic Plan’, ‘Extended Plan’ or The ‘Professional Plan’ payeable on a monthly basis.You might see that some Listings in our search results have a ‘managed by a verified host’ label, which means that they are trusted hosts. All other Accommodations, to the best of our knowledge, are managed by ‘unverified hosts’.This label has no relevance in terms of tax, including VAT and other ‘indirect taxes’ that relate to added value, sales or consumption.
Prices

The rates displayed on our Platform are set by the Service Providers. We may finance rewards or other benefits out of our own pocket.

When you make a Booking, you agree to pay the cost of the Travel Experience itself and any other charges and taxes that may apply (e.g. for any extras). Taxes and fees may vary for different reasons, such as the Service Provider’s location, the kind of room selected and the number of guests. The price description tells you whether any taxes and charges are included or excluded. You’ll be able to find more information about the price while you’re booking.

Our Platform provides descriptions of any equipment and facilities that Service Providers offer (based on what they tell us). It also tells you how much extra they’ll cost, if anything.

Payments

What payment methods are accepted?
Credit cards are the most widely accepted payment method for properties listed on Plush Explorer. In addition, many properties require users to supply a valid credit card to reserve bookings that aren’t paid for in advance.

Online payments
In many countries, Plush Explorer offers several alternative payment methods (e.g. PesaPal, Skrill,) in addition to credit cards. In certain markets, Plush Explorer also offers local payment methods. The availability of digital payment methods may vary per country, region and/or device used to book. We’ve listed the most common payment methods further down on this page.

Flexible payment methods (Buy now, pay later)
In some countries, Plush Explorer offers flexible payment options via third parties like Affirm, PesaPal and Skrill. These methods allow travelers to split a payment into multiple installments, or delay payment to a later date. Short-term installment plans (up to 3-4 installments) are typically interest-free, while longer-term financing may include interest.

Payments

There are three ways you might pay for your Booking:

  • The Service Provider charges you at the Accommodation.
  • The Service Provider charges you in advance.
  • We organize your payment to the Service Provider in advance.

If you cancel a Booking or don’t show up, any cancellation/no-show fee and any refund will depend on the Service Provider’s cancellation/no-show policy.

How do I create a listing on the website? 

To create a listing, simply sign up for an account, then navigate to the "Add Listing" or "Dashboard" section. Follow the prompts to input all necessary details about your property or service.

What types of listings are accepted on the website? 
We accept a wide range of listings including vacation rentals, apartments, homes, experiences, events, services, and more.
What information should I include in my listing description? 
Your listing description should provide comprehensive information about your property or service, including features, amenities, location, and any special instructions or rules for guests.
Can I edit my listing after it's been published? 
Yes, you can edit your listing at any time by logging into your account and accessing the "My Listings" section. From there, you can make changes to your listing details, pricing, availability, and more.
How do I upload photos to my listing? 
To upload photos, simply click on the "Add Photos" button while creating or editing your listing. You can upload multiple photos to showcase your property or service from different angles.
What happens if I receive a booking request? 
When you receive a booking request, you'll have the option to accept, decline, or counter the request. Once you accept a booking, both you and the guest will receive confirmation details.
What if I need to cancel a booking? 
If you need to cancel a booking, please contact our support team as soon as possible. Depending on the circumstances, cancellation fees or penalties may apply for some properties.
What if I encounter issues with a guest or host? 
If you encounter any issues with a guest or host, please contact our support team for assistance. We're here to help resolve any disputes or concerns that may arise.
Are there any requirements or regulations for listings? 
We have certain guidelines and regulations in place to ensure the safety and satisfaction of our users. Please familiarize yourself with our terms of service and community standards before creating a listing.

How can I improve the visibility of my listing? 
To improve the visibility of your listing, make sure to include high-quality photos, optimize your listing title and description with relevant keywords, and regularly update your availability calendar.
How do I handle payments and transactions? 
Payments and transactions are handled securely through our platform. Guests can make payments using various methods, and hosts receive payouts according to the payment schedule.
Is there a review system for guests and hosts? 
Yes, both guests and hosts can leave reviews for each other after a completed booking. Reviews help maintain trust and transparency within our community.
Can I set my own pricing for bookings? 
Yes, you have full control over setting your own pricing for bookings. You can specify different rates for different seasons, weekdays, weekends, or special events.
How do I communicate with guests or customers? 
You can communicate with guests or customers through our messaging platform. Once a booking is confirmed, you'll be able to exchange messages and coordinate details directly with the guest.
